Trout fishing and fly fishing have a deep history on Long Island. Even in a highly populated area, there are some well-known trout streams on the Island, as well as numerous opportunities a few hours away. Two Chapters represent Long Island's fly fishing community.

This Trout Unlimited Chapter is named for author and fly fisherman, Art Flick. Formed from some fly tying clubs who wanted to protect their beloved Carmans River, the Art Flick chapter has been doing great work since their founding.
